Dear All

Thought I had better write a few words or you may just be missing us!

First, are any of you over 40 year olds out there trying to use a few pounds in time for bikini weather?  My friend Julie Brown has come up with The Slim Plan with you in mind; a healthy lifestyle plan.  Actually I am sure it gives sensible advice for all age groups.

It has been pointed out that we have not tried anywhere in Andover and that to rectify this we should try The Coffee Carousel within the new exciting theatre venue, The Lights.  We will put it on our very long list of places to visit but if in the mean time any of you try it do please let us know what you think.  It sounds wonderful, they serve speciality coffees, home made cakes and freshly prepared light lunches.  The coffee shop is open from 8:00am through to 5:00pm 6 days a week as well as during the evenings of theatre performances.

SA has briefly visited The Vinyard in Stockcross, Newbury that was featured in A Taste of The South.  Unusually the restaurant has been awarded a new status "2 Rising Michelin Stars"  Sadly she only popped in for a coffee but has vowed to return as everything looked so fabulous and the staff were very warm and welcoming; we do not like snooty and intimidating staff!

Jane Stamp the editor of Hampshire Society has asked me to remind you about a readers evening at Gunwharf Quays. It's on March 7, and has a few exciting prizes to win too. I've attached a PDF of the details as I thought it might appeal to you.  (Sorry the PDF is rather a long download).  Included in the details are instructions for obtaining tickets.

Radley's in Southampton have introduced an excellent value for money table d'hote menu, at lunch time (Mon-Sat) 2 courses for only £9.50 and at dinner time (Mon-Thurs) 2 courses for only £11.50.  We visited last week and enjoyed delicious food and generous portions.

During the next 2 weeks we are hoping to sample a Gary Rhodes restaurant... watch this space to hear how we got on!

With love, CJ & the Ladies XX

PS My usual plea, may I ask you again to keep on clicking on the Google ads on the site, every click helps our costs.  Just clicking on the ads tot up the cents.  Please keep up the Guest Book entries, we love to hear where you have been lunching/dining/drinking!
