Three Choirs Vineyard Wickham will be beating the French at their own game this year with the arrival of their First Release white wine on Thursday 20th November. The wine will be the first production from grapes grown on the Wickham Estate under new owners Three Choirs one of the leading, most established and awarded vineyards in the UK. Production of First Release has taken seven weeks from harvesting to bottling and has created a fresh and zesty dry white wine with a crisp lasting finish.
Estate Manager Colin Bloxham says ‘First Release has been made from Reichensteiner and Bacchus grapes using the cool fermenting process which uses minimal filtration. The natural fruit character of the grapes is preserved and captured in the bottle to give clean summer hedgerow characters.’
There will be a limited production of 1200 individually numbered bottles. The wine will be exclusively on sale at the estate shop from 11am on November 20th.
The Directors of Three Choirs Wickham Vineyard would like to invite Hampshire Ladies who Lunch and all interested parties to an evening celebration at 7pm, Thursday November 20th 2014 with wine tasting and canapés.
Places are limited to 30 guests so please make sure you RSVP to receive your official invitation. (This is a complimentary event but you must RSVP!)
