October 2014, just heard Arbor now has 2 AA Rosettes!

August 2014 Last week two of us had reason to go to Bournemouth and having heard good things about Arbor, the restaurant in The Green House Hotel, decided to give it a try. Ladies we have found the ideal lunching venue! It has everything to make it an ideal place to meet, location, pleanty of free parking and the restaurant and bar are very attractive. The food is fabulous, it is beautifully presented, the portions are generous AND they have an amazing lunch time and pre threatre offer, 3 courses for only £15.95 (or 2 courses £13.95), exceptonal value for such quality, you can tell we were inpressed!

We enjoyed a G&T whilst studying the small but interesting menu and we had a glass of wine with our lunch. Our starter choices: Crispy Breast of Lamb with Apricot Purée and Pancakes and Truffled Gnocchi, Peas and English Feta. The lamb made a delicious pancake filling a la Peking Duck.

Our mains: Chef’s Seafood Pasta and Chicken Kiev stuffed with Leek and Artichoke. We ordered two side dishes, Peas, Lettuce and Bacon and a Tomato Salad. The chicken was beautifully moist and the pasta packed with fish and seafood!

We shared one of the nicest puddings I can ever remember having, Coconut Panna Cotta with Mango Sorbet, such a delicious flavour and very light, just what we needed! We finished with coffees.

Andy Hilton has been the head chef since 2012, after this lunch we think he’s a rising star!

There is an area for al fresco dining and the hotel is very near the beach. They pride themselves on being the UK’s greenest hotel, read HERE about many of the impressive things they have done to become this…. We highly recommend and would love an overnight stay perhaps to go to the theatre!

(They have a limited offer from 17th – 25th August 2014 If you book lunch or dinner for 2 or more guests you get a complimentary bottle of their Organic wine!)
