Rockbourne is a pretty thatched village just West of Fordingbridge.

The pub has a dog friendly garden and an interior full of olde world charm.

Food was excellent as was the service from Kerry (you’ll like her!) and her young team.

We had Hake on crushed peas with a side dish of fresh vegetables – delicious.

For dessert, Peggy had the nectarine crumble with ice-cream while I had the meringue with summer fruits

Prices on the high side; £15.95 for main course, £6.50 for desserts, but worth it.

There was an interesting cheese board too (next time) at £6.00 for 3 options or £8.00 for 5.

Lots of interesting real ales.
